icsjffl analytics
my friends and i have been in a fantasy football league going on 10 years now, which for some of us is over half of our lives. it's run through ESPN which has been great, but one thing that they don't do well is league history
i found some (questionable?) api to pull data from our ESPN league using some IDs I found in the browser dev tools. then I ran analytics on previous years working to understand how different trades, injuries, and draft picks have affected teams. we always argue about luck in this league, so being able to quantify it over the course of a decade is pretty neat
this project would not have been possible to get up and running in just two weeks without the help of coding agents, so it's super great that i'm able to use those tools for real benefit. everyone in the league has loved looking at the metrics.
i'm now working on getting more advanced metrics as well as making a trade calculator, trading block, and other useful league tools.
